Woohoo! Thank you Denton! Thanks to all your support the Community Garden will be getting a beautiful new Garden Bench! Every little bit counted towards this effort! A total of over 500 pounds of plastic was collected over the past few months during this TREX Challenge. It's AMAZING! Here's toasting Trash to Treasure!

We would like to put out a big THANK YOU to Caroline County Public Library & Caroline County Recreation and Parks for allowing us to use their locations as drop off points! 
  This is the wonderful bench we will be receiving for our Garden Pathway!!

Trex® is proud to sponsor local recycling programs in universities and communities throughout the country. If your team can collect more than 500 pounds of plastic refuse in a six-month span (about 40,500 plastic bags), we will donate a high-performance composite bench to your school or community.

Are labeled degradable AND recyclable? NO, recyclers can’t risk using degradable plastics in new items so these items are not recyclable.…
Contains other materials or is dirty or wet? NO, plastic film must be clean and dry and the right type in order for it to be recycled.
Please remove all other materials like tape, paper receipts, food residue and crumbs, and crinkly or rigid plastics (bottles and tubs). These contaminants can ruin the quality of the plastic and may result in it not being recycled.
